This document summarizes materials that applicants need to provide to WorldFirst for purposes of onboarding as WorldFirst’s clients.
Worldfirst can only onboard registered businesses, to which we offer selected collection functions, including:
- Same name top-up function (for example, top up to your World Account with funds from your own bank account with the same name).
- Collection from e-commerce platforms/ marketplaces.
- No other 3rd party collection function offerred by default.
Requirements:
- Applicant’s official identity documents issued by the government
- Facial recognition verification/Photo of applicant holding identity document
- Company business registration documents
- Government-issued identity document of each Ultimate Beneficial Owner (Shareholder with equal or more than 25% shares in the company)
- Full list of Director
- The shareholding structure of the company
- Proof of the existence of the company
- Full list of Directors
*Requirements 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 are baseline requirements applicable to all clients.
*Requirements 6, 7, 8 are optional requirements, only applicable in certain scenarios to clients.
1. Applicant’s official identity documents issued by the government
- One of the directors of the company is required to be the applicant on behalf of the company
- The form of identity document issued by the government stating the applicant’s name, date of birth, and a unique serial number is required
- Both the front and back of the identity documents are required, except for passports
Amazon may ask for further documentation as part of their seller verification process. You can use your Account Verification Letter for this. To generate an Account Verification Letter, simply click on “Download proof of account” below your account details. Your letter will be generated on the next page.
2. Facial recognition verification/Photo of applicant holding identity document
- The applicant is required to pass the process of facial recognition verification
- If the applicant’s facial recognition verification is unsuccessful, the applicant will need to provide a photo with one hand holding the submitted identity document
Live facial recognition is preferred. A “selfie” is required from the applicant if the facial recognition verification is unsuccessful.
3. Company business registration documents
- Documents/extracts issued by the government/authorities confirming the company’s business registration
Company business registration documents that we accept:
- Business profile issued by the government/authorities which usually provides entity information such as entity name, registration number, date of incorporation, list of directors and ultimate beneficial owner, etc
- Extract from the Commercial Register which usually provides entity information such as entity name, registration number, date of incorporation, list of directors and ultimate beneficial owner, etc
- Certificate of incorporation of the company issued by the government/ authorities
- Registration certificate of the company issued by the government/ authorities
4. Government-issued identity document of each Ultimate Beneficial Owner (Shareholder with equal or more than 25% shares in the company)
- A copy of the identity document is required for all ultimate beneficial owners
- Form of identity documents issued by the government stating the name, date of birth as well as a unique serial number for each of the ultimate beneficial owners is required
- Both the front and back of the identity documents are required, except for passports
Identity documents that we accept:
- Passport
- Local ID
- Driving License
5. Full list of Director
- Full list of Director’s name, date of birth, and identity document number
- Not required to provide a copy of Directors’ identity document
Kindly provide all the Directors’ names and their respective identity document number in the list.
6. The shareholding structure of the company
The applicant is required to submit documentary evidence of the shareholding structure of the company, certified by one director, in the following circumstances:
For entities with equal to or more than 4 layers before reaching the ultimate beneficial owner, a document outlining the company’s structure, including ownership details such as who is/are the owner(s) and their respective ownership percentages (for example, company A is a company with individual E as the ultimate beneficial owner and individual E holds ownership through a few layers of holding companies, which are company B, company C, company D. We will require the documentary evidence showing the names and ownership percentage of company A, company B, company C, company D as well as individual E as there are 4 layers of share ownership).

After our search efforts using external sources, the search results indicate that no data on the shareholding structure could be found.
Documentary evidence of the shareholding structure is to be certified by one director of the company by way of affixing a stamp and providing a handwritten signature by the director.
7. Proof of the existence of the company
The applicant is required to provide documentary evidence of existenceof company in cases whereexternal sources (including but not limited to sources like business information publisher) do not verify the existence of applicant based on our search efforts.
Documentary evidence of the existence of the company which we accept:
- Certificate of Good Standing issued within the last 3 months: A certificate issued by state or other jurisdiction’s secretary of state or equivalent office confirming that the company is compliant with applicable laws and regulations and is authorized to conduct business
- Extract of Commercial Register issued within the last 3 months: An official document from a trade registry that includes details about the company, such as its legal form (private limited company, sole proprietorship etc), date of incorporation, directors, ultimate beneficial owners, etc
- Signed/stamped written confirmation from the company’s registration agent
8. Full list of Directors
The applicant to provide full list of directors if:
- There is no external source to verify the existence of applicant based on our conduct of searches (including but not limited to sources like publisher of business information)
- The documents provided by the applicant do not contain this information
Documentary evidence which we accept:
- Business profileissued by the government/authorities which contains full list of director(s)
- Article of association containing full list of director(s)
- Certificate of incumbency containing full list of director(s)
- One Director to certifythe list of full board of directors, by way of affixing a stamp and providing a handwritten signature
