Welcome to WorldFirst! We can\u2019t wait to help your business grow globally<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before we get started, please make sure you have the following to hand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you\u2019re applying for a registered company<\/strong>, you\u2019ll also need:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re a director of a registered company, please continue with this guide. If you’re a sole trader, please refer to the ‘How can I open a World Account as a sole trader?’<\/a> guide for next steps.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n You will now proceed to the company verification steps. Please note that you can put your application on hold at any point and return to where you left off by clicking ‘Verify your account’<\/strong> again on the homepage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are certain industries that we’re currently unable to support or that require further verification. If you are unable to proceed with the application, it is possible that your industry falls outside our current scope of services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We encourage you to contact our customer service team for more information and advice on whether we might be able to support you in the future. We are continuously evaluating and expanding our service offerings, and your feedback is valuable to us.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n To provide your passport or ID information, please use your mobile device camera to scan the QR code<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n The QR code will direct you to a mobile portal where you can scan your ID and conduct facial recognition<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n Once you have completed the steps on mobile, you’ll be prompted to return to your application window on portal<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n If verification is successful, you\u2019ll see a confirmation message. Please review the information that\u2019s been automatically populated for your name, ID number, nationality, DOB, etc. Please manually amend if anything is incorrect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Under ‘company ownership’<\/strong>, if your company has shareholder(s) that own more than 25% of the company, please select ‘yes’<\/strong> and you’ll be prompted to provide the information of all such shareholders. If your company doesn\u2019t have shareholder(s) that own 25% or more then select \u2018No\u2019<\/strong>. You\u2019ll need to add the details for your company\u2019s Key Controller(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Key Controller is an individual appointed to exercise direct control over the entity<\/strong>, by participating in the governance or senior \/ executive activities<\/strong> of the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Key Controllers include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If your application was successful, you’ll receive a notification on email as well as on your account homepage. You can then start to use the available features in your account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We may also be asking for more information to verify your business. In this instance, you may receive a video call invitation on your account. Alternatively, we may also invite you to upload more documents, such as bank statements, photos of your office space, your business certifications, etc. Please look out for such messages in your email or on the homepage of your World Account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re declined for your application, we apologize that we’re unable to serve your business at the moment.
