Terms and Conditions for UEFA Euro Cup 2024 Campaign for New Payment Users

These terms and conditions for UEFA Euro Cup 2024 Campaign for New Users (“Terms and Conditions”) govern the UEFA Euro Cup 2024 Campaign for New Users (as defined below). By participating in the Campaign (as defined below), you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with them.

 

1. Definitions and Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions shall have the following meanings:

1.1 “Campaign” means the UEFA Euro Cup 2024 Campaign for New Users;

1.2 “Campaign Period” shall have the meaning given to such term in clause 4;

1.3 “Campaign Privacy Notice” means Campaign privacy notice issued by WorldFirst in connection with the Campaign;

1.4 “New User” means a person registered in the Relevant Countries and Regions who has completed its registration and successfully opened a World Account with WorldFirst from 1 January 2024 onwards;

1.5 “Relevant Countries and Regions” means the Southeast Asian countries or regions supported by the account service offered by WorldFirst from time to time;

1.6 “UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward” means the tickets to the UEFA EURO 2024TM and the details of which are more particularly set out in clause 5 below;

1.7 “UEFA EURO 2024 TM” means the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship;

1.8 “UEFA” means Union des Associations Européennes de Football, the official body for European football and organizer of UEFA EURO 2024TM.

1.9 “WorldFirst” refers to Alipay Merchant Services Pte. Ltd.;

1.10 “World Account” means the WorldFirst World Account, as provided by WorldFirst;

1.11 “World Account Terms” means all of the prevailing terms and conditions, including the privacy policies, governing the World Accounts.

 

2. Organizer

2.1 WorldFirst is the organizer of the Campaign.

 

3. Description of the Campaign

3.1 During the Campaign Period, New Users who achieved cumulative minimum of SG$150,000.00 Payment transaction (or equivalent in value) between 20 February 2024 to 31 March 2024 will be eligible to participate in the Campaign and stand a chance to win UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward subject always to these Terms and Conditions.

3.2 For the purposes of this Campaign, “Payment” is defined as a successful transfer of funds out of the World Account involving currency exchange. For the avoidance of doubt, a Payment under this Campaign excludes the following:

  • (a) outgoing transfers involving the same currency;
  • (b) outgoing transfers between accounts owned by the same New Users.

 

4. Campaign Period

4.1     The Campaign shall commence from 20 February 2024 to 31 March 2024 (both dates inclusive) (the “Campaign Period”).

 

5. Campaign Mechanism

5.1 The top thirty (30) New Users with the highest cumulative Payment transaction amount during the Campaign Period will each receive two (2) UEFA EURO 2024TM tickets:

  • 5.1.1 Top 30th – 16th places will receive a pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM Round of 16 tickets
  • 5.1.2 Top 15th – 4th places will receive a pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM Quarter-final tickets
  • 5.1.3 Top 3rd – 2nd places will receive a pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM Semi-finals tickets

5.1.4 1st place will receive a pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM Semi-finals tickets and a pair of return economy class flight tickets to Berlin, Germany from the home country of the relevant New User (any of the Relevant Countries and Regions).

 

6. Reward Process

6.1 From 1 April 2024 to 7 April 2024, WorldFirst will check all Payment transactions of each New User made during the Campaign Period and rank the New Users based on the cumulative Payments made.

6.2 The top thirty (30) New Users will be notified via email or notification through WorldFirst portal within two (2) weeks following the end of the Campaign Period.

6.3 The respective top thirty (30) New Users are required to provide any requested information for purposes of claiming the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward within the timeframe as may be notified by WorldFirst. WorldFirst reserves the right to forfeit any unclaimed UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward or to deal with it in any such manner WorldFirst deems fit. Solely in connection with this Campaign, by providing the requested information, each top thirty (30) New Users authorize and consent their information (such as name and email address) to be used for the following purposes:

  • 6.3.1 verifying the New Users’ identity;
  • 6.3.2 announcing or publishing the name of the winners on Campaign webpage or WorldFirst’s social media channels; and
  • 6.3.2 arranging and delivering the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward.

6.4 The top thirty (30) New Users will be further notified upon the issuance of the tickets via email or notification through WorldFirst portal.

6.5 In respect of clause 5.1.4, the 1st place New User (“Top New User”) shall also be required to provide the following personal data for purposes of booking of the flight along with any other information as may be required: first name(s), last name, date of birth, email address, mobile telephone number and passport number. The Top New User shall redeem the flight tickets through a travel agency as may be notified by WorldFirst (“Travel Agency”). WorldFirst shall provide the Top New User with the contact details of the Travel Agency and it is the responsibility of the Top New User to take such steps to make contact with the Travel Agency so as to redeem the flight tickets and conclude a booking. WorldFirst shall not be liable to compensate the Top New User if they are unable or failed to make a booking via the Travel Agency.

6.6 The Top New User will be notified of the flight details upon issuance of the flight tickets by the relevant provider. The redemption of the flight tickets or boarding of the flight may be subject to further terms and conditions of the Travel Agency and/or relevant provider.

 

7. Campaign Rules

7.1 A person must be a New User to participate in the Campaign and must make a cumulative amount of at least SGD $150,000.00 Payment transaction (or equivalent in value) during the Campaign Period using the World Account. Such person must not be an existing WorldFirst customer and must not have applied for a World Account immediately preceding the Campaign Period.

7.2 Each registered entity will only be eligible to one (1) pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM tickets under this Campaign and/or any other promotional campaigns organized by WorldFirst. In the event where (i) a registered entity has two (2) different World Account and both World Accounts are selected as part of the top thirty (30) New Users for this Campaign; or (ii) a registered entity is selected as part of the top thirty (30) New Users for this Campaign and also as a winner for UEFA EURO 2024TM tickets under any other promotional campaigns organized by WorldFirst, the registered entity will only be eligible to receive one (1) pair of UEFA EURO 2024TM tickets. 

7.3 In the event where two (2) or more New Users are tied in the Payment transaction amount, WorldFirst will rank the New Users based on transaction date and time, with the New User who first achieved the said Payment transaction amount ranked higher.

7.4 The UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward is not transferable or exchangeable for cash, credit, products, privileges, other benefits or payment in kind, whether in full or in part, and is not refundable or replaceable. If for any reason the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward is not available, WorldFirst reserves the right and at its sole discretion to substitute the reward.

7.5 There will not be any replacements, compensation or refunds made if the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward has expired or unclaimed by the relevant New Users.

7.6 The sale or offering for sale of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward is strictly prohibited.

7.7 For the avoidance of doubt, any costs incurred that are incidental to the fulfilment of the UEFA – Euro 2024 Ticket Reward are the responsibility of the winner(s).

7.8 The UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward will be remitted by virtue of electronic “mobile phone tickets” and it is the sole responsibility of the Ticket Holder (as defined below) to download and install the ticket mobile app (“UEFA Ticketing App”) (to be provided by UEFA) and to ensure that the Tickets are displayed correctly on their mobile phones. The top thirty (30) New Users and his/her accompanying partner (“Guest”) (collectively, the “Ticket Holders”) shall:

  • 7.8.1 be solely responsible for their visa applications to enter into Germany (if required) and no assistance whatsoever will be provided by WorldFirst;
  • 7.8.2 in the event that any Ticket Holder is unable to travel to Germany or attend any UEFA EURO 2024™ games due to any reason(s) (such as delay and/or denial in the visa application process), there will be no replacement, substitution and/or transfer of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward and the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward will be invalidated automatically when it expires on the date as stated on the respective UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward; and
  • 7.8.3 WorldFirst shall not be held liable for any mishaps, injuries or accidents that may occur in the course of the delivery or usage of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward received under this Campaign.

7.9 Personal Data of the Ticket Holders

  • 7.9.1 The Ticket Holders shall be required to provide the following personal data when downloading the UEFA Ticketing App along with any other information required under applicable laws: first name(s), last name, date of birth, email address, mobile telephone number, passport/ID issued by country name for each Ticket Holder) and any such other personal data as required by law, such as passport/ID number if requested by the competent public safety authorities. The Ticket Holders shall be provided with a privacy notification via the UEFA Ticketing App by UEFA and EURO 2024 GmbH; and
  • 7.9.2 As (i) each UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward (including the relevant seating information of block, row and seat number) must be linked to an individual Ticket Holder, and (ii) WorldFirst as independent data controller is required to provide UEFA and/or EURO 2024 GmbH with the details of the Ticket Holders upon request, the Ticket Holders shall ensure that all such personal data is correct and available and provided to WorldFirst, UEFA and its relevant entities, and/or the relevant authorities for matters related to safety and security at the football match.

7.10 UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward are for personal use of the Ticket Holders.  The top thirty (30) New Users shall undertake, and shall procure the Guest to undertake to comply with all the terms and conditions of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward, details of which are available at https://editorial.uefa.com/resources/0285-191651c4847c-2743856c91d9-1000/euro_2024_gp_fans_terms_and_conditions_en.pdf) and, NOT to:

  • 7.10.1 resell, transfer, or offer to resell or transfer the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward, whether for free or for any consideration;
  • 7.10.2 use the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward for any promotional, advertising, fundraising, auction, raffle or any commercial or non-commercial purpose;
  • 7.10.3 use any UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward as a prize (or part of a prize) in any contest, competition, (promotional) game of chance, lottery or sweepstake;
  • 7.10.4. combine and sell UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward as part of any package of goods or services or any travel or hospitality package (e.g. combining airline tickets, hotel and tickets);
  • 7.10.5 advertise, promote, distribute or sell any product or service anywhere in the stadium or by displaying obvious commercial messages on clothing or articles brought into the stadium; and
  • 7.10.6 the entrance to the relevant stadium shall be
    • 1. subject to compliance with (i) all relevant terms and conditions (including these Terms), (ii) the Stadium Rules (to be provided by the relevant stadium or by UEFA); (iii) any sanitary measures or policies in place (either by the relevant stadium or by UEFA); and (iv) all applicable laws and regulations.
    • 2. authorised upon presentation of a valid ticket per person (regardless of age) and, upon request, proof of identity with valid photograph and signature (passport or national identity card); and
    • 3. where the applicable laws of Germany stipulate a minimum age for attendance at football matches, authorised only to such persons who meet the minimum age requirements.

7.11 If the top thirty (30) New Users or the Guest violates any of the conditions set out herein, both the top thirty (30) New Users and the Guest will be denied entry into the stadium or be removed from the stadium; the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward shall be cancelled immediately (regardless if they have arrived in Germany or at the relevant football stadium) and there will be no compensation whatsoever after such cancellation. Furthermore, WorldFirst reserves the right to claim back from the top thirty (30) New Users any part of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward already fulfilled/awarded.

7.12 For the avoidance of doubt, the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward does not include:

  • 7.12.1 transportation to and from airports;
  • 7.12.2 transportation within the home country/city of the top thirty (30) New Users and/or the Guest;
  • 7.12.3 transportation within Germany;
  • 7.12.4 travel insurance; and
  • 7.12.5 reimbursement of any expenses not stated herein (including but not limited to, visa application fees, relevant travel taxes, food and beverages, and other events or activities etc.).

7.13    Unless otherwise specified herein, the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward shall not be used together with other benefits or vouchers at the same time.

7.14    Should WorldFirst determine, in its sole discretion, that a New User is not eligible to receive the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward or to participate in the Campaign for any reason (including but not limited to a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable laws or regulations, improper use of any information relating to the Campaign, fraud, attempted fraud, or any other illegal or illegitimate activity), or where WorldFirst subsequently becomes aware of events (including but not limited to where the transactions of such New User were reversed or refunded) which would render the New User ineligible for the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward, WorldFirst has the right to disqualify such New User and shall not be liable to any such New User. WorldFirst further reserves the right to claw back the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward or to deduct an amount equivalent to the value of the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward from the New User’s World Account(s).

 

8. Further Terms

8.1 WorldFirst reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, determine and/or decide all matters relating to or arising in connection with the Campaign and/or these Terms and Conditions. Any such determination and/or decision will be final and binding.

8.2 To the extent permitted by applicable law, WorldFirst reserves the right to amend the terms of the Campaign, and/or to suspend or cancel the Campaign at any time, without liability to any party. WorldFirst also reserves the right to extend the Campaign Period in its discretion and these Terms and Conditions shall apply to any such extended Campaign Period. Any amendments to the Campaign will be published on the Campaign webpage and/or notified to users in an appropriate manner. Following any change or amendment to these Terms and Conditions, your continued participation in the Campaign constitutes your acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions and the Campaign in force at that time.

8.3 Each participant warrants that:

  • 8.3.1 it is legally able to participate in the Campaign according to the laws and regulations applicable to it;
  • 8.3.2 to the best of its knowledge, all information disclosed by it to WorldFirst is complete, true and accurate; and
  • 8.3.3 it will not use the Campaign in any way that WorldFirst (in its sole and absolute discretion) considers to be unreasonable, unethical, excessive, or in bad faith; or in any way that breaches any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, or that is in any way unlawful, fraudulent, or wrongful, or has any unlawful, fraudulent, or wrongful purpose or effect.

8.4 Persons participating in the Campaign shall bear all expenses arising from and/or in connection with participating in the Campaign.

8.5 Severability: Any clauses in these Terms and Conditions determined by any court or other competent authority to be unlawful and/or unenforceable will be treated as severed from these Terms and Conditions and will not invalidate other clauses of these Terms and Conditions which will continue in full effect.

8.6 Third Party Rights: These Terms and Conditions are made for the benefit of participants of the Campaign, and are not intended to benefit any third party or be enforceable by any third party.

8.7 WorldFirst reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse a claim in connection with the UEFA EURO 2024TM Ticket Reward if it has reasonable grounds to believe that any of the relevant participants has:

  • 8.7.1 breached these Terms and Conditions;
  • 8.7.2 misused WorldFirst’s intellectual property rights including trademarks and/or materials;
  • 8.7.3 made any misrepresentations (negligently or fraudulently);
  • 8.7.4 abused the Campaign; and/or
  • 8.7.5 engaged in any illegal or criminal activity including fraud in connection with the Campaign or any application for WorldFirst services.

8.8 The World Account Terms are to be read together with these Terms and Conditions. Please refer to the World Account Terms for further information. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any of the World Account Terms, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail only to the extent of matters relating to the Campaign. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any terms set out in any marketing materials prepared for the Campaign, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. While all information provided herein is believed to be correct and reliable at the time of printing or publishing or posting online, WorldFirst makes no representation or warranty whether expressed or implied, and accepts no responsibility or reliability for its completeness or accuracy

8.9 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, under no circumstances will WorldFirst or any of its affiliates be liable under any theory of tort, contract, strict liability or other legal or equitable theory for lost profits, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, each of which is excluded by agreement of WorldFirst and you regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable or whether WorldFirst or any person has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions to the contrary, WorldFirst’s cumulative liability, including for claims, expenses, damages or indemnity obligations under or in connection with its obligations under these Terms and Conditions, will not exceed USD$500,000. WorldFirst, UEFA and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to any participants or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize and/or participation in this Campaign. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby waive any and all rights to bring any claim or action related to this Campaign beyond one (1) year from the first occurrence of the act, event, condition or omission on which such claim or action is based.

8.10 Employees (including part-time employees and contractors) of WorldFirst including affiliates, agents and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of such employees, are not eligible to enter or win the Campaign.

8.11 Unless otherwise specified, all references herein are in Singapore Dollars and the foreign exchange rate shall be determined by the relevant cooperation agencies (where applicable). The transaction amount will be subject to the final amount set out in the transaction record shown on the World Account statement.

8.12 In the event this Campaign (i) is stopped by any government agency’s orders, (ii) must be suspended due to server/network attack or system failure, or (iii) any circumstances beyond WorldFirst’s control, such event shall be regarded as a force majeure event, and WorldFirst shall not be held liable for any damage, loss or claim therein.

8.13 All tradenames, trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners.

8.14 WorldFirst will use the personal information provided by New User only for the administration of the Campaign. Each New User acknowledges that WorldFirst may pass such information to its agents and UEFA solely for the purposes of administering the Campaign. New Users’ personal details will at all times be kept confidential and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and the Campaign Privacy Notice. The Campaign Privacy Notice can be accessed on the Campaign webpage or by contacting WorldFirst pursuant to clause 8.16. A Participant can request access to its personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by contacting WorldFirst at [email protected].

8.15 Governing law and dispute resolution: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions and/or the Campaign, including any question regarding its existence, validity or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC“) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the SIAC (SIAC Rules) for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference in this clause. The seat of the arbitration shall be Singapore. The Tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator. The language of the arbitration shall be English.
